Kristian Russell is an Anglo-Swedish illustrator represented in the USA by Art Department and in Tokyo by CWC. He bases his style with references from the world of music, fashion, youth culture and has worked internationally for many fashion magazines as well creating advertising campaigns and apparel print. Currently based in Los Angeles he has a history of working in New York, London and Stockholm where the cosmopolitan input adds to his vision of fiery graphics.

With clients ranging from hip hop artists such as Lil Kim, Macy Gray, RZA he has also worked for Jalouse, Vogue Brazil, Vogue Pelle Italia, Nylon, Flaunt and many more periodicals. Fashion is an important ingredient. Recently he has begun specialising in apparel print for companies such as H&M and Marc Jacobs. These range from sportswear print, swimwear, kidswear  to vintage americana with advanced Hawaii style patterns.

He is known in Sweden for his seasonal work for Gröna Lund and their music poster series which runs every summer. Artists have included Lady Gaga, Iggy Pop, Beastie Boys, Marilyn Manson, Beck and hundreds more since 2001. Other international advertising campaigns have included Nike Ballers campaign in Asia, posters for the Swedish Green Party and illustrated work for Citroen, Sony, Coca Cola and Defected Records.
